How School Leaders are Collaborating Over Voxer
Voxer supporter and Elementary Principal, Adam Welcome has been using Voxer to communicate and collaborate with other educators from all over the country as part of the School Admin Virtual Mentor Program (#SAVMP).
Through exchanges over Voxer, Twitter and email, the program is aimed at sharing ideas and perspectives to help others learn and grow as school leaders. The educators who are involved use Voxer to connect with teams and mentors, and to broaden their Personal Learning Network.
In a recent blog post, Adam gathered comments from other #SAVMP educators on how Voxer has helped them grow as educators, here are some below!
Jason Markey – Principal
“Being able to hear voices and get the inflections and tone adds depth to the already amazing conversations. The asynchronous aspect allows for more ‘PD when you want/need it’. Which is, for me, at the heart of why I use social media as my PD ‘go-to’.”
Anna Schaefer-Salinas – Assistant Principal
Emily Dunnagan – Principal
“Voxer is a communal podcast that I get to contribute to. It’s company on the pre-dawn dog walks and it lightens my mood after a challenging day at work. It’s the cheapest PD imaginable, and really accelerates the speed at which we share and adopt new ideas and approaches.“
Eric Saibel – Assistant Principal
Tom Whitford – Principal
“Inspiration explosion for me, I use to attend conferences a couple of times a year, now I learn everyday from Voxer. It has changed my commute, my ride goes so quickly and I’m learning at the same time.”
Jennifer Kloczko – Principal
“The learning/connecting with school administrators from around the country for me has been amazing of course! However, what I’ve enjoyed most is adding my local friends to different Voxer chats and hearing their learning/connecting take off.”
Adam Welcome – Prinicipal
